F.A.Q
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about our precision manufacturing capabilities, certifications, and technical expertise for defence, aerospace, automotive, and industrial clients.
-
What software do you use for CAD design and manufacturing?
We use only genuine licensed software including AutoCAD, Autodesk Fusion 360, and industry-standard CAM software for all design and manufacturing processes. Our 10+ CAD mechanical designers are proficient in professional-grade tools, ensuring IP protection and file compatibility with international defence and aerospace clients.
-
Are you registered with DRDO and listed on GeM?
Yes. iMake is a DRDO registered vendor and is listed on the GeM (Government e-Marketplace) portal under metal laser cutting, CNC machining and 3D printing categories. Government departments, defence PSUs and DRDO labs can place orders directly through GeM. We provide GST invoices, material certificates and quality documentation as required by defence procurement procedures.
-
Can you handle international projects and shipping?
Yes. We have valid Import and Export licences and regularly ship to the USA, Europe, UAE and Singapore. We handle export documentation, customs clearance, and provide door-to-door delivery with full tracking. Our facility in Hyderabad offers strategic logistics advantages for global markets.
-
Do you provide reverse engineering services?
Yes. Our team has extensive reverse engineering capabilities using 3D scanning technology to recreate legacy parts, obsolete components and improve existing designs. We specialise in iterative development — working closely with clients through multiple design cycles until optimal performance is achieved.
-
Can you integrate electronics and programming into mechanical parts?
Yes. We develop and integrate basic electronics and programming including servo motor controls, stepper motor systems and timing circuits. Our capabilities extend to custom automation solutions, sensor integration and programmable control systems for complex assemblies.
-
What industries do you serve and what are your quality standards?
We serve Defence (DRDO registered), Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Devices and Industrial Automation sectors. We maintain strict quality protocols with complete traceability, dimensional inspection and documentation meeting defence and aerospace procurement standards. We provide material certificates, inspection reports and process documentation on all orders.
-
What are your manufacturing capabilities and lead times?
Our capabilities include 1.5kW metal laser cutting (10×5 ft bed — MS up to 10mm, SS up to 8mm, Al up to 6mm), CNC machining, FDM / SLA / DLP 3D printing, CNC routing (8×4 ft, 6kW), injection moulding up to 400 tonnes and precision silicone moulding. Lead times range from 6 hours for 3D printing to 2–5 working days for laser cutting and CNC. Rush orders accommodated — WhatsApp +91-94942-02990.
-
What materials can you work with?
We work with 15+ engineering plastics and metals including aerospace-grade aluminium (6061, 7075), stainless steel (304, 316), mild steel, PEEK, Delrin, ABS, Nylon, Polycarbonate, PTFE (Teflon), and various silicone compounds across Shore A, OO and D hardness grades. Material selection advice is provided at no extra cost.
-
Do you provide design support and DFM services?
Yes. Our expert design team provides comprehensive DFM (Design for Manufacturing) feedback, legacy 2D to 3D CAD conversion, and manufacturing optimisation — included as standard with all orders. We offer complete idea-to-production under one roof, eliminating multiple vendors and ensuring seamless project execution.
-
Can you handle both prototyping and production volumes?
Absolutely. We specialise in agile manufacturing from single prototypes to production runs. Minimum order is 1 piece across all services. Our flexible processes adapt to volume changes, design modifications and urgent requirements while maintaining consistent quality — whether producing 1 piece or 1,000+ pieces.
-
How do you ensure project confidentiality and IP protection?
We maintain strict confidentiality protocols — especially for defence sector clients. All team members sign NDAs before engagement. We use only genuine licensed software, maintain secure data handling and follow industrial security best practices for sensitive projects. NDAs are signed before receiving any design file.
-
What documentation do you provide with deliveries?
We provide inspection reports, material certificates, dimensional analysis, process documentation and export paperwork as required. For defence and aerospace clients we maintain complete traceability records. GST invoices are issued for all orders. GeM portal procurement documentation is handled as part of the order process.
